Taylor Conn joins LaunchPad Creative as Marketing Associate

Taylor Conn recently joined LaunchPad Creative as a Marketing Associate. Her experience in email marketing and demand generation as well as her talent for copywriting and content creation will be tremendous assets to the firm’s growing alternative investment client base. Taylor enjoys leveraging email marketing and social media to help clients attract new business and delight customers.

We sat down with Taylor to get to know her better and understand what sparked her interest in the marketing field.

What sparked your interest in marketing?

My marketing path began in the parking industry. I found joy in the creative side, especially writing. The reporting and analytics part appealed to me because I am motivated by quantitative goals. It was a perfect match. I made the switch to the financial services industry when I moved to North Carolina.

What marketing strategies have you found effective in building brand awareness?

I think LinkedIn can be a vital part of a winning strategy. If you’re sharing authentic, helpful content, your prospects will find it. It’s important to be generous with sharing learnings. It builds trust with your network. Sharing your successes and wins (and celebrating others) can help generate a lot of buzz, too.

We can widen the reach of that content if employees engage with company posts. Sales teams may not be closing deals on LinkedIn, but they’re probably not closing deals on the golf course, either. Like golf, LinkedIn is another tool to make meaningful connections that turn into successful, long-lasting partnerships.

Fill in the blank: My all-time favorite book is _________.

Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. I admire the candor and humor with which he writes. Of course, he had a fascinating story to tell, too. Some say Kwame Onwuachi is the Bourdain of my generation, and his book, Notes from a Young Black Chef is incredible, too.

Would you rather hike a mountain or lay on the beach?

I would rather hike. My husband and I love backpacking. We dream of doing the whole Appalachian Trail.

Tea or coffee?

Iced coffee!

Welcome to the LPC team, Taylor!
